“ Nothing without you, Nothing without us”, this sentence is a parallelism, in the sense that the two parts have the same grammatical structure, this matching structure emphasizes the connection and teamwork between the two ideas or parties. “Nothing without you, Nothing without us” means that neither “you” nor “us” is complete, meaningful, or successful without the other. It emphasizes mutual dependence and togetherness. In simple terms: the phrase says, “We need each other; neither side is complete without the other.” The “you” in this statement is “Our Blessed Mother” while the “us” is “each and every one of us”. This statement is telling the importance of our submission, our surrender and our obedience to Her as She is willing, ready, committed to us at all times. Simply put, Our Blessed Mother, Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Scheonstatt cannot attain Her goal if we don’t collaborate with Her and we also would not attain our intentions and petitions if we do not collaborate with Her.

There is also a beautiful connection to the statement “nothing without you, nothing without us.” The phrase has a deliberate tension; Mary needs no human power to intercede for us, educate us or guide us to Christ rather, each person has a distinct role for her to intercede for us, we have to make the move, submit, believe and obey her for that to occur. Mary points toward Christ, as Christ points towards God, therefore as Christ is the way to God, as no one can get to the Father except through Christ so also is Mary to Christ that is indirectly being the way and passage to salvation. This can express the idea that God chooses to involve Mary and humanity in His work, even though the source of the miracle remains Christ.

Are we ready to give our Yes? Are we ready to serve Her as Her servants never perishes? Are we ready to obey and keep our promises with Her? Are we ready to work with Her, so she can work with us?

It’s now left to us to actually pick our sides, the freedom to choose her as “Nothing Without us is Nothing With Her”
